Dental Crown

A dental crown may be the solution you're looking for if you have a chipped or weakened tooth.
Dental crowns provide numerous advantages to patients, including:
Repairing a damaged tooth's function
Enhancing the appearance of your smile
Providing support for a damaged or weaker tooth
Providing support for a dental bridge
Dental crowns are basically caps that are placed over your damaged or weakened tooth to protect and support it. They are designed to precisely fit your tooth and can be made of a variety of materials, including porcelain, metal, or a mix of the two.
During your first appointment, your dentist will first prepare your tooth by removing any damaged or weakened parts and then reshaping it to fit the crown. After that, an impression of your tooth will be taken and sent to a dental lab, where your bespoke crown will be made. Your tooth will be given a temporary crown to protect it in the interim.
Once your permanent crown is ready, the temporary crown will be removed, and the permanent crown will then be placed over your tooth. Your dentist will ensure that it fits comfortably and looks natural, and will make any necessary changes.

Cost of Dental Crowns

The cost of dental crowns can vary depending on the material used and whether you are receiving NHS or private treatment. If you are receiving NHS dental care, you can expect to pay around £120* for a Porcelain metal crown for molars. However, if you are looking for a more durable, long-lasting option, you might prefer a Zirconia crown, which is only available on a private basis and costs around £478*. Alternatively, we also offer E-max crowns, another popular choice made from lithium disilicate, which cost around £458*.
